NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State's spring 2021 football schedule was adjusted again Friday by the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. While the dates remain the same for the Spartans' four-game spring slate, the opponents have changed.
Following North Carolina Central's decision to opt out of football competition this semester, the Spartans have been shifted to the conference's Southern Division for the upcoming four-game spring schedule. The Spartans will play a home-and-home, two-game series against both North Carolina A&T and South Carolina State. The Spartans will travel to SCSU on Feb. 20, and after an off week, will head to Greensboro to face North Carolina A&T on March 6.
After another off week, the Spartans host SCSU on March 20 at Dick Price Stadium before concluding the abbreviated spring schedule by hosting the Aggies on April 3.
The winner of the Southern Division will face the winner of the conference's Northern Division in the MEAC Championship game on April 17. The Northern Division, which originally included NSU, now consists of Howard, Delaware State and Morgan State.
Game times are yet to be announced.
