NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State bowling team opened MEAC play last weekend at Morgan State University. The two-day meet featured strictly baker play.
The Spartans went 1-7 over the course of the two days. NSU opened play on Saturday with a 988-823 loss to Monmouth. The Spartans posted an 869 total in game two but fell to Maryland Eastern Shore, 970-869. NSU followed with losses to North Carolina A&T (1004-840) and UAB (915-741).
NSU logged a 1-3 record in Saturday's baker games. NSU began the day with a 773-748 win over Howard. The Spartans then dropped a 933-805 decision to Morgan State and a narrow 930-864 match to Coppin State. The Spartans rounded out the weekend with a 1,035 to 727 loss to Delaware State.
NSU returns to Baltimore for the Coppin State Lady Eagles Invitational, the Spartans' final competition of the first semester.
