NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State senior right hander
Danny Hosley was selected Monday as the MEAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced.
Hosley was outstanding in his lone start of last week, pitching a complete-game three-hitter in the Spartans' 2-1 win over Longwood in the second game of Sunday's doubleheader. Hosley allowed just one run over the seven-inning contest, walked one and struck out five to earn his first win as a Spartan. Hosley did not allow a hit after the fourth inning.
This is Hosley's first career weekly MEAC honor. He is 1-0 with a 3.31 ERA in three appearances (two starts) this year.
The Spartans are back in action this Friday through Sunday when they host a four-game series with Morehead State.
