NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State Athletics Department announced today that tailgating reservations will be available for public purchase beginning on Aug. 1 for the 2021 football season.
 
Cost of a tailgating space is $450 for a season pass or $125 per game for the Sept. 18, Oct. 30 and Nov. 20 contests. Cost of a tailgating space for Homecoming on Oct. 16 is $200. Passes include access for one vehicle parking space.
 
An RV tailgating space is available for $175 per game or $250 for Homecoming. A season pass for RV tailgating for all four home games is $650 for the year.
 
To purchase single-game or season tailgating passes, call the main Athletics Department office beginning Aug. 2 at (757) 823-8152 from Monday through Friday between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., or mail the tailgating request form along with payment to the address shown. The form will be available on Aug. 1 at www.NSUSpartans.com under the Tickets tab.
 
Fans can send in checks or money orders, made out to Norfolk State University with Athletics Tailgate in the memo, or fill out the credit card authorization section of the tailgating request form and return it to the address.
 
The tailgating policies and procedures manual will also available on the athletics website on Aug. 1 under the Tickets tab.
 
The main tailgating area is located on the band practice field on Presidential Parkway, located across the street from the NSU Tennis Complex. Spots are numbered 1-48, divided into four sections. A graduated overflow system will be used when assigning spots.
 
Nine additional spots will be used, if necessary, near the baseball field and outside basketball courts on the west side of William "Dick" Price Stadium. RV spots are located near the Facilities Management Building. Additional parking passes will also available at the NSU Ticket Center for $5 per game or $20 for a season pass.
 
Tailgating lots will be open four hours prior to the start of each game and will close two hours after the conclusion of each game. No vehicles will be permitted onto the tailgating lots two hours or less prior to game time. All individuals who enter tailgating areas must have a game ticket.
 
The 2021 home football schedule begins on Sept. 18 against Elizabeth City State at 6 p.m. at Dick Price Stadium. NSU will also host Virginia-Lynchburg on Oct. 16 for Homecoming, Morgan State on Oct. 30, and South Carolina State on Nov. 20, all beginning at 2 p.m. Gates open two hours before the start of each game.
