NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State bowling team returns to the lanes this weekend when it hosts the MEAC Conference #2 at Pinboy's at the Beach in Virginia Beach on Saturday and Sunday. The event will follow traditional match play. All nine MEAC teams will be traveling to the Tidewater area for the event.
Each team will have a chance to play each other over the weekend. Saturday matches begin at 10:30 a.m. featuring matchup between NSU vs. Howard, DSU vs. UAB, MSU vs. Monmouth, and CSU vs. MDES. NCA&T has the bye in the first round.
Five rounds will be played on Saturday with the remaining four on Sunday. Sunday's matchups start at 9 a.m.
Senior
Crystal Brewer led the Spartans in the last outing on Nov. 23 at the Coppin State Invitational. She had a high of 213 in the team's win over the Eagles while averaging 178.4 over five games played.
NSU is currently 9-21 this season.
