Norfolk, Va. – The Norfolk State men's tennis team dropped a 4-0 contest to Hampton on Friday at NSU Tennis Complex.

Federico Rebecchini took his first singles loss of the season in a three-set grinder against Hampton's Ange-Kevin Koua at the No 1 position. Koua took the first set 6-2, but Rebecchini battled to a third set, winning the second 6-3. Koua won the ensuing tiebreak 10-6.

Hampton's Fayzullokhon Mavlyudov defeated
Ibrahim Abbas 6-1, 6-3 on Court 2. NSU freshmen
Roosevelt Brown III and
Jeremiah Zellander lost 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 3 and No. 4 slots, respectively.

NSU (0-3) heads to Cary, N.C. next week for the MEAC Tennis Roundup. The Spartans will face Morgan State, Howard, and Coppin State in the team's first conference competition of the season.
