Aleksandra Evdokimova earned MEAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week honors, the league announced Wednesday. Evdokimova provided a steady presence at the top of the lineup last week, going 2-1 in singles matches and 2-1 in doubles.

At the top singles position, Evdokimova earned victories against both Hampton and Longwood. She took down HU's Milena Amedieva 6-3, 6-1 on Friday, and defeated LU's Emma Nurgazieva 6-2, 6-3 on Sunday. Evdokimova's only singles loss of the week came against ODU's Yulia Starodubtseva, the 33
rd ranked player in the country.
The recognitions marked the second and third weekly honors for Evdokimova in her first season, winning Player of the Week on Mar. 2.
