Cary, N.C. – Playing its second match of the MEAC Tennis Roundup at Cary Tennis Park, Norfolk State fell 6-1 to Morgan State on Friday morning.
Aleksandra Evdokimova earned the Spartans lone point of the day.
The Bears swept the opening doubles point, winning 6-3 on Court 1, 6-0 on Court 2, and 6-1 on Court 3.

Andrea Barcenas lost 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5 and No. 6 singles, respectively, before Morgan State's Hannah Smith defeated
Amber Fuller 6-3, 6-2 at the No. 2 position. NSU's
Breana Cook lost 6-3, 6-3 to Asmara Rose on Court 3, and
Laura Ruiz was bested by MSU's Anabel Aran 6-3, 6-3 at the No. 4 slot.
Finishing last, Evdokimova got the Spartans on the scoreboard with a win at the top of the lineup, defeating MSU's Averiana Mithell 6-3, 7-5.
The result marked the Spartans' third straight loss, dropping them to 1-7 on the season. The team wraps up the MEAC Tennis Roundup with a doubleheader against Delaware State and Coppin State on Saturday.
