NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State redshirt junior
James Deloatch was selected Monday as the MEAC's Co-Pitcher of the Week.
Deloatch improved to 3-1 on the year by pitching 4.2 scoreless innings in game one of Saturday's doubleheader with Coppin State, a game the Spartans won 2-1. Deloatch scattered five hits and struck out four while keeping the Eagles off the board.
Deloatch shared the accolade with Maryland Eastern Shore's Derrick Rabb. Deloatch has now won the Pitcher of the Week award twice this year, and NSU has won it three times in all. Fellow southpaw
Dalton Barham won the honor last week.
