Orangeburg, S.C. – NSU lost its final conference match of the regular season 7-0 to defending MEAC champion South Carolina State on Sunday.

Federico Rebecchini and
Hugo Massoni Lena lost 6-2 at the No. 1 doubles position, after
Roosevelt Brown III and
Ibrahim Abbas fell 6-0 on Court 2.

Brown III lost to SCSU's Diego Araluz, 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 singles to increase the Bulldogs' lead. Abbas finished his match shortly after, falling 6-1, 6-1 to Omer Gorgun at the No. 3 slot. SCSU won positions five and six by default.

Rebecchini couldn't get things going against SCSU's Rostislav Haflinger, who defeated the NSU senior 6-2, 6-3 on Court 1. His doubles partner, Massoni Lena, tested Aissa Benchakroun in a battle between freshman, but Benchakroun ultimately prevailed 6-4, 6-3.

The Spartans (0-10, 0-3 MEAC) get a chance to rest after playing three matches in two days, returning to NSU Tennis Complex for a meeting with Virginia State at 3 p.m.
