Council Named to MEAC All-Tournament Team

NORFOLK, Va. - Norfolk State junior designated hitter Jacob Council was named to the MEAC All-Tournament Team.

Council batted 4-for-10, going exactly 2-for-5 in both of the Spartans' games. He drove in three runs during the tournament. In the first-round loss to Delaware State, Council hit a solo homer in the second inning, then hit the game-tying RBI single with two outs in the ninth. Against UMES, Council hit an RBI double.

Council finished the 2022 season hitting a team-best .346 with 10 doubles, four home runs and 33 runs batted in.
