NORFOLK, Va. – Both the NSU men's and women's track and field teams garnered academic recognition from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association when the organization released its yearly academic awards.
This marked the fifth straight year that NSU has received multiple all-academic honors from the USTFCCCA. The women's team achieved its fifth straight all-academic team award and the NSU men earned their third team honor in the last four years.
The Spartan men boast a 3.13 cumulative team GPA and the women a 3.03 following the spring semester.
On the track, the Spartan men earned a yearly sweep of the MEAC cross country, indoor and outdoor track championships, while the NSU women won the MEAC cross country title and placed second at both the indoor and outdoor championships.
