Gaffney Earns MEAC Rookie of the Week Honors

NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State freshman Grant Gaffney was named Rookie of the Week by the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), the conference announced on Monday afternoon.
 
The defensive lineman tallied six total tackles, including a sack with the help of teammate Keshawn Lynch.  The Aggies lost nine yards on that play, while recording no gain on two of the rushes that Gaffney shut down.
 
The Spartans return to action on Oct. 14 against Tennessee State at Nissan Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m.
