NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State football team looks to build off a dominant victory last weekend, heading into the team's regular season finale against South Carolina State on Saturday afternoon at William "Dick" Price Stadium.

The Spartans (3-7, 1-3 MEAC) amassed 459 yards of total offense in a 44-21 blowout victory at Delaware State (1-9, 0-4), including 285 yards on the ground. NSU never trailed against the Hornets, accounting for the first five scores of the game.

Defensive back Terron Mallory etched himself into the Norfolk State history books on Saturday, becoming the first player in the program's Division I history to intercept three passes in a single game.

"I thought he did a good job of being in position," NSU head coach Dawson Odums said. "When you are in position, you give yourself a chance to seize the moment and opportunity and I thought he was able to cash in on that."

South Carolina State (4-6, 2-2) is looking to bounce back from a 20-17 loss to Morgan State last week. More significantly, the Bulldogs are looking to win the final game of legendary head coach Oliver "Buddy" Pough's career.

Pough announced earlier this fall that the 2023 season would be his last, after amassing over 140 wins at SCSU in 22 years at the helm.

The game will be live streamed on ESPN+, and available on radio at WNSB 91.1 FM with Ross Gordon and Woube Gebre on the call.
