GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Norfolk State bowling team completed its second MEAC meet over the weekend, with two days of competition taking place at Triad Lanes.

NSU finished with a 3-5 record across Saturday and Sunday, going 2-2 on Day 1 and 1-3 on Day 2. The Spartans picked up victories over UAB, UMES, Howard, while dropping matchups against North Carolina A&T, Monmouth, Morgan State, Delaware State, and Coppin State.

Norfolk State's strongest performance came against UMES, posting a total pinfall of 965.
Chanel Staton led the way with a score of 221, while
Jalaya Allen posted a 206 in just her second appearance of the day.

Megan Wheat led the Spartans with a total pinfall of 998 on the first day of competition, highlighted by a team-best 241 against Monmouth in the fourth round of competition. The 5-7 senior nearly willed the Spartans to victory against the Hawks, as the Monmouth came away with a narrow 939-910 win.

Trinity Gray shined on Day 2 with an average pinfall of 178.0, recording a 234 in the Spartans' opening win over Howard. Allen also broke the 200-mark in Game 3, leading the Spartans with a score of 226.
