PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Norfolk State women's tennis team lost to Drexel on the road Friday evening, 7-0. The Spartans dropped to 1-5 on the season with the result.

Drexel won the opening point by sweeping doubles, taking Court 3 by default. The Dragons won 6-0 on Courts 1 and 2 to take a 1-0 lead in the match.

Winning No. 5 and No. 6 singles by default, Drexel earned the clinching fourth point with a victory at the No. 3 position, where Isabel Cabrerizo defeated
Laura Ruiz 6-1, 6-0. Cristina Gonzalaz bested
Zada McMorris 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 4 slot soon after.

Renata Lombera battled
Amal Gati at the No. 2 position, pulling out a 6-2, 6-3 victory.
Aleksandra Evdokimova nearly put together a late comeback, but fell 6-2, 7-5 to Lorie Lemongo at the top spot in the lineup.
