NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State track and field athlete
Kalon Jeffery has been named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Field Performer of the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday afternoon.
The recognition comes after Jeffery's standout performance in the pole vault during last weekend's East Coast Invitational at the Virginia Beach Sports Center. Jefferey took first in the event with a distance of 13 feet, five inches, setting a new personal record.
The Spartans return to action this weekend at the DII Pre-Nationals Invitational, once again at the Virginia Beach Sports Center. The meet will begin on Friday, Feb. 10 and conclude on Saturday, Feb. 11.
