NORFOLK, Va. | The Norfolk State University baseball team begins a three-game homestand and opens Northeast Conference (NEC) play against Sacred Heart, starting on Friday at Marty L. Miller Field.
The Spartans (2-9) and Pioneers (4-6) have moved up the game time for Friday and will now have first pitch scheduled for 12 p.m. Saturday's game will start at 1 p.m. and the finale will begin at 12 p.m. on Sunday.
Norfolk State is coming off a 16-7 mid-week loss to Old Dominion. The Spartans jumped out to a 3-0 lead and fell behind in the middle innings before trying to rally in the ninth with three runs. Sacred Heart enters the weekend series off a 10-6 victory on Tuesday against USC Upstate.
