NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State women's tennis team fell 7-0 to Hampton on Senior Day at NSU Tennis Complex.
 
Prior to Tuesday's match, Norfolk State honored Zada McMorris, its lone senior on the women's side.
 
The Pirates won the opening doubles point with a victory by default at the No. 3 position. and a 6-1 triumph on Court 2. Breana Cook and Amal Gati led 3-2 at the No. 1 slot when the Pirates' clinched the doubles point.
 
Hampton won by default on Courts 4, 5, and 6, as the Spartans dealt with injuries to multiple players. The Pirates won the remaining singles matches in straight sets.
