NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State senior
Kai Cole was named MEAC Track Co-Athlete of the Week on Wednesday afternoon, his third weekly conference honor this year.

The recognition comes after Cole's career day at the Spartans' home meet, the 2023 NSU Invitational. Not only did the performance come in front of a home crowd, but it also came in front of his friends and family on Senior Day.

Cole set personal records in the 100 meter and 200 meter dash on Saturday, winning both events by a comfortable margin. He finished the 100 meters in 10.24 seconds, ranking first in the MEAC and 39
th in the nation. He completed the 200 meters in 20.76 second, ranking second in the MEAC and 51
st in the nation.

The Spartans return to action in Charlottesville, Va. this week for the Virginia Challenge, a three-day event from Thursday to Saturday.
