NORFOLK, Va. | Norfolk State University head baseball coach
Keith Shumate announced on Wednesday a schedule change for this weekend's upcoming three-game Northeast Conference (NEC) series against Long Island (LIU).
Due to inclement weather scheduled for this weekend, Norfolk State and LIU will now play a doubleheader, beginning at 1 p.m. on Thursday at Marty L. Miller Baseball Field. Game three of the series will either be played on Friday or Saturday, depending on the weather.
Norfolk State (6-20 overall, 4-5 NEC) swept a three-game series last weekend against Stonehill, while LIU (7-19, 6-6) took two-of-three from Sacred Heart.
The Spartans will wrap up their eight-game homestand on Wednesday as VMI visits Marty L. Miller Baseball Field.
