NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State women's tennis team competed at the Elon Fall Invitational this past weekend, but a combination of injuries and unfriendly weather limited the Spartans' participation.
Emory's Alyssa Margolin defeated NSU newcomer Isabella Cottrell in straight sets on Friday.
Laura Ruiz and Gabi Davidescu were unable to play their scheduled matches due to injury.
No matches were played on Saturday due to the extreme weather conditions.
After playing in back-to-back fall tournaments, the Spartans will return to competition on Oct. 13 for the UNCG Invite in Greensboro, N.C.
