NORFOLK, Va. – After playing four consecutive games against in-state opponents, the Norfolk State men's basketball team will flip the script with a lengthy West Coast trip this week.
 
The Spartans (4-1) begin their Pacific stretch on Wednesday, Nov. 20, facing undefeated Stanford (4-0) at Maples Pavillion. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m. PT -- 10 p.m. for viewers on the East Coast.
 
Norfolk State took its first loss of the season last week at William & Mary but bounced back gracefully with a 67-58 victory at Hampton on Saturday in the Battle of the Bay. Brian Moore Jr. led the Spartans with 20 points, while Christian Ings scored the 1000^th point of his college career in a 16-point, seven-assist performance.
 
Moore picked up his second MEAC Player of the Week recognition in as many weeks on Monday evening, following a pair of strong showings that included a career-high 31 points at William & Mary.
 
Stanford has gotten off to a flawless start, winning its first four games. The Cardinal have grown comfortable in Maples Pavillion, playing all the team's contests thus far on its home floor.
 
Saturday's game will air on ACC Network Extra/ESPN+ with Roxy Bernstein and Ben Braun on the call. ESPN+ will also air the Spartans' Friday night matchup with Grand Canyon, before coverage for the Monday meeting with UC Davis comes on SacTown Sports.
 
LAST TIME OUT

• Norfolk State bounced back gracefully from its first loss of the 2024-25 campaign, downing Hampton 67-58 in the Battle of the Bay at HU's Convocation Center
• The win marked Norfolk State's first victory on Hampton's home floor since the 2014-15 season
• Brian Moore Jr. led Norfolk State with 20 points, shooting 7-of-10 from the floor
• Christian Ings added 16 points and a team-best seven assists, surpassing 1,000 career points in the process
