WILMINGTON, N.C. --- The Norfolk State women's basketball team begins its five-game road stretch on Saturday, Nov. 23, taking on UNCW at 1 p.m.
The Spartans defeated Radford 71-65 at Echols Hall on Wednesday, Nov. 20, extending their winning streak against the Highlanders to two straight.
Graduate guard
Diamond Johnson led the Spartans in scoring, tallying 20 points on a 6-of-13 shooting night.
Kierra Wheeler added 17 points and seven rebounds, while
Makoye Diawara also scored in double figures with 10 points.
The two teams will meet for the ninth time on Saturday, with UNCW leading the all-time series 5-3 against Norfolk State. The Spartans defeated the Seahawks 96-55 at Echols Hall last season.
