NORFOLK, Va. --- The Norfolk State women's basketball returns to Echols Hall Wednesday evening to take on Drexel at 7 p.m.
 
The Spartans meet the Dragons for just the second time in program history. The two teams met last season with NSU securing a narrow 51-49 victory at DU.
 
Last time out Norfolk State defeated North Carolina A&T 68-59 on Sunday, Dec. 15.
 
Sophomore guard Da'Brya Clark led NSU with 18 points. She also tallied four assists, four steals, and two rebounds.
 
Senior forward Kierra Wheeler scored 13 points while grabbing five rebounds. She also recorded four blocks and three steals.
 
Graduate guard Diamond Johnson and junior forward Da'naijah Williams both scored in double figures for NSU with 11 points each.
 
Wednesday's game will air on WNSB Hot 91.1 FM with Woube Goubre on the call.

  • Drexel averages 57.0 points per game while shooting 37.7 percent from the floor (177-470)
  • DU ranks second in the CAA in scoring defense, allowing only 55.9 points per game
  • The Dragons also lead the CAA in assists with 15.32 per game
