SETTING THE SCENE

The Spartans (19-5, 8-1 MEAC) will travel to Baltimore, Md. to take on the Eagles of Coppin State (9-14, 6-3 MEAC) on Saturday and the Bears of Morgan State (7-16, 2-6 MEAC) on Monday.

The Spartans look to extend their winning streak to eight games as they cruise through conference play. The Spartans have the top scoring offense (68.4) and scoring defense (54.0) in the conference.
 
The Spartans are currently nationally ranked in four statistical categories as a team: scoring defense (8th), steals per game (4), turnover margin (4th), and turnovers forced per game (6th).

In their win streak, the Spartans win by an average of 31 points. The Spartans also led the conference in scoring margin (14.4).

Norfolk State will play three games in six days, traveling to Dover, Del. to take on Delaware State on Saturday. Mar. 2 before coming home to take on Maryland Eastern Shore on Monday, Mar. 4 and Howard on Thursday, Mar. 7.
