NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State men's basketball team takes a two-game lead in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) standings into this weekend, holding onto a four-game win streak.

The Spartans go to battle against two conference foes this weekend, one on the road and one at home. Norfolk State will play at Delaware State at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Mar. 2, before returning home to face Maryland Eastern Shore at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Mar. 4.

Norfolk State earned a pair of tough, hard-fought road victories last weekend in Baltimore, Md. The Spartans defeated Coppin State 68-66 behind a career performance from Tyrese Jenkins, before pulling out an 85-82 win over Morgan State two days later.

Norfolk State won the first matchup of the season against Delaware State in dramatic fashion at Echols Hall, going ahead in the final moments of regulation on Tyrel Bladen's tip-in basket. The Spartans look for vengeance against Maryland Eastern Shore, who got the better of NSU in a 69-60 result in Princess Anne less than a month ago.

Both games will be broadcast on WNSB Hot 91.1 FM.
