NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State graduate student Kai Cole added another weekly conference accolade to his resume on Friday.
 
Cole was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Male Track Athlete of the Week after a terrific performance at the Duke Invitational in Durham, N.C. It marked his second consecutive week earning the award.
 
The Alexandria, Va. native won the 100 meters, while also finishing third in the 200 meters at the prestigious meet.
 
Cole completed the 100-meter dash in 10.27 seconds, finishing comfortably ahead of runner-up Artie Burgess from Rider (10.40).
 
Nearly matching his personal record (20.75), Cole completed the 200-meter dash in 20.76 seconds to finish third, second among collegiate runners.
