NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State Department of Athletics inducted 16 student-athletes into the ETA chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma on Monday evening, the school's first inducted class since 2019.

Chi Alpha Sigma is a nonprofit organization established to recognize four-year college student-athletes who excel both on and off the field of competition.

The organization boasts 351 total active chapters, 75 across NCAA Division I. Norfolk State joined the prestigious group of universities with its inaugural class in 2012.

The Spartans' 2024 class featured four members of the Norfolk State women's bowling team and four members of the men's track & field program. Football and women's tennis each received two recognitions, while the women's track, men's tennis, softball, and baseball teams each earned one inductee.
