NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State University Athletics Department announced Thursday the launch of Gold Standard Collective, the official NIL Collective for Norfolk State student-athletes to leverage their Name, Image, and Likeness, powered by Student Athlete NIL (SANIL).
 
"The unveiling of the Gold Standard Collective marks a monumental breakthrough for our university and our student athletes," Webb said. "Through the help of SANIL's innovative approach to the world of NIL, Norfolk State student-athletes will now boast a significant advantage in establishing and maintaining a personal brand."
 
The Gold Standard Collective will equip Spartan student-athletes with the tools, resources, and promotion they need to maximize their brand they create and cultivate throughout their athletic career. SANIL, an industry-leading agency boasting decades of experience in collegiate sports marketing, helps student-athletes navigate the new era of Name, Image, and Likeness.
 
SANIL is not officially affiliated with Norfolk State Athletics, but is acknowledged by the athletics department. The organization operates transparently, complicit with all NCAA, MEAC, and state legislation on Name, Image, and Likeness.
 
Through Gold Standard Collective, student-athletes will have increased access to communicate with businesses at a local and national level. The database also allows fans the opportunity to engage with student-athletes, while ensuring student-athlete privacy and safety always remain the top priority.
