NORFOLK, Va. --- The Norfolk State women's basketball team returns to MEAC play on Saturday, Jan. 25th at 3:30 p.m. at Echols Hall against Howard.
The matchup marks the 63rd time the two schools have met. The schools met three times last season with Howard winning the first matchup 73-60 and Norfolk State winning the next two meetings 59-53 and in the MEAC Championship 51-46.
Senior forward
Kierra Wheeler led the Spartans in all three meetings last season, averaging 18.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.0 blocks, and 2.0 steals.
NSU earned a 123-51 win against Virginia-Lynchburg last Saturday. The Spartans broke the school record for most 3-pointers in a single game, draining 18 shots from behind the arc.

- Freshman guard Saniyah King also averages double figures with 11.2 points per game
- King also leads the MEAC with 5.0 assists per game
- Head coach Ty Grace is in her 10th season at Howard
