NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State football team wraps up the 2025 season with its final road contest, traveling to the nation's capital to face the Howard University Bison on Saturday, Nov. 22 at Audi Field. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m.

ABOUT THE MATCHUP
Saturday marks the 31st meeting between the longtime MEAC foes. Howard holds a 20-10 advantage in the all-time series, but Norfolk State claimed last year's matchup with a dramatic 21-20 victory.

ABOUT NORFOLK STATE
The Spartans (1-10, 0-4 MEAC) enter the season finale looking to snap a nine-game skid after falling 35-28 to Morgan State on Senior Day.

NSU led 28-21 entering the fourth quarter, but the Bears rallied late to spoil the Spartans' comeback hopes. Norfolk State's offense was powered by a dominant rushing performance, as Kevon King (189 yards) and X'Zavion Evans (107 yards) combined for 296 yards on the ground.

Quarterback Vinson Berry turned in a steady outing, completing 17-of-31 passes for 174 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions.

In the passing attack, JJ Evans led all receivers with 98 yards on seven receptions and a touchdown, while Kam'Ryn Thomas added 49 yards and a score on four catches.

Defensively, Terique Miles paced the unit with 11 tackles and a pass breakup, and Jayden Smith added an interception to highlight the secondary's effort.

ABOUT HOWARD
Howard (4-7, 1-3 MEAC) enters the contest following a 26-13 road loss at Delaware State on Nov. 15.

Graduate quarterback Tyriq Starks posted his best performance as a Bison, going 21-of-39 for 252 yards and a touchdown. Freshman wideout Antonio Hunter hauled in a career-high eight receptions for 81 yards, while Cooper added a season-best four catches for 117 yards and a touchdown.

Sophomore running back and return specialist Anthony Reagan Jr. contributed six receptions and tallied 71 kickoff return yards.

Defensively, the Bison were led by strong showings from Noah Miles (6 tackles, 0.5 sacks), Cam Dyson (7 tackles) and CJ Wesley (5 tackles, 1.0 sack).
