Spartans Dominate Top Positions in 5-2 Victory at North Carolina A&T

Box Score GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Norfolk State women's tennis team earned a 5-2 road victory at North Carolina A&T on Wednesday.
 
The Spartans earned a 6-0 victory at the No. 1 doubles position, before winning 6-2 on Court 2. Norfolk State won on position three by default.
 
After taking No. 6 singles by default, the Spartans continued to perform well across the lineup. North Carolina A&T earned a 6-3, 6-2 win on Court 4, but Sofiya Tsitavets responded with a 6-1, 6-2 victory at the top spot in the lineup.
 
Yuliya Yurkova continued her hot streak, defeating Randy Rakotoarilala 6-2 at the No. 2 slot. Caroline Nicholls took down Hanah El Sherif, on Court 3, before North Carolina A&T tallied the final point of the day at No. 5 singles.
 
The Spartans return to action on Friday afternoon against Campbell.
