NSU Basketball Programs to Host Selection Sunday Watch Party at Roger Brown’s

NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State men's and women's basketball programs will find out their upcoming destinations at a Selection Sunday watch party amongst Spartan fans.
 
The Spartans will view both the men's and women's NCAA Tournament selection shows at Roger Brown's Restaurant & Sports Bar, located in Historic Olde Towne Portsmouth. The event is open to the public and media.
 
The NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament Selection Show will begin at 6 p.m., airing on CBS. The NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament Selection Show starts at 8 p.m. on ESPN.
 
The Norfolk State women's basketball team earned their third consecutive MEAC Tournament title on Saturday with a 68-56 victory over Howard at Norfolk Scope Arena. Kierra Wheeler led the Spartans with 19 points, seven rebounds, and six blocks, earning MEAC Tournament Most Outstanding Player honors in the process.
 
The NSU men's basketball team rallied from an 11-point deficit to take down South Carolina State 68-56 on Saturday afternoon. Brian Moore Jr. was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player, posting 15 points in the championship game.
 
Doors will open at 5:15 p.m. for the Spartans' watch party, promising to be a night of celebration, acknowledgment, and excitement.
