Norfolk State Set for MEAC Championship, MEAC Announces All-Academic Teams

NORFOLK, Va. - The Norfolk State bowling team is set to compete in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Bowling Championship this weekend in Raleigh, N.C. at Buffaloe Lanes.

Norfolk State enters the tournament as the No. 8 seed taking on No.1 seed North Carolina A&T on Friday in the first match of play.

All eight MEAC bowling teams will compete in the double-elimination bowling championship using the mega-match format in the preliminary rounds. Sunday's championship match will be the best of seven baker match format.

The MEAC announced the 2025 All-Academic selections, honoring 39 student-athletes from the conference's eight bowling-playing institutions, announced by the conference office Friday.

Seniors Jalaya Allen and Jazmin Esquibel, sophomore LaShauna Burrus, and freshman Alexandria Madigan each received MEAC All-Academic honors.
MEAC sophomore, junior, and senior student-athletes with a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average (GPA), as well as transfer student-athletes who have been in residence at the institution for at least one year, are eligible for All-America accolades.
