Box Score ELON, N.C. – The Norfolk State women's tennis team fell 7-0 to Elon in the Spartans' final match of the 2025 regular season.
 
Elon swept the opening doubles point to take an early lead. The Phoenix earned a 6-0 victory on Court 1, before winning 6-3 on both Courts 2 and 3.
 
Mariana Reding defeated Sofiya Tsitavets 6-0, 6-3 at the No. 2 singles position, before Helen Sarkulaya beat Ines Sabadies 6-0, 6-2 at the No. 3 slot. Madison Cordisco clinched the match for Elon with a 6-4, 6-0 win over Angelina Maniawska on position three.
 
Lisa Kranec bested Irina Iurea 7-6, 6-0 on position six, as Heidi Bulger defeated Carolina Nicholls 6-1, 6-3 at the No. 4 position. Simone Bergeron closed the match with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Yuliya Yurkova at the top position.
 
Norfolk State now turns its sights to the 2025 MEAC Tennis Championships, taking place from Apr. 24-26 in Cary, N.C.
