NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State men's basketball team prepares for a two-game stretch this weekend, traveling to South Carolina State on Saturday, Jan. 17, before returning home to host Elizabeth City State on Monday, Jan. 19. 

SETTING THE SCENE 

Norfolk State (7-12, 1-2 MEAC) enters Saturday's matchup following a narrow 74-70 loss to Maryland Eastern Shore in its first home contest of the 2026 calendar year at Joseph G. Echols Memorial Hall. 

ABOUT THE SPARTANS 

  • Head Coach Robert Jones, in his 13th season, is eight wins away from reaching the 250-win milestone. 
  • The Spartans last opened conference play with a 1-2 record during the 2017-18 season. 
  • Norfolk State last dropped multiple home games in a season during the 2022-23 campaign.
