Jamison, McComb Earn BOXTOROW All-America Second Team Honors

NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk State men's basketball senior guards Elijah Jamison and Anthony McComb III earned Second Team All-America honors from BOXTOROW, the organization announced Monday afternoon. 

McComb started all 32 games for Norfolk State and led the MEAC in total points (548) while averaging 17.1 points per game earning him First-Team All-MEAC honors. He also averaged 4.2 rebounds per game and logged a league-best 1,091 minutes, ranking among the conference leaders with 34.1 minutes per contest. 

McComb shot 41.5 percent from the field (163-of-393) and 38.1 percent from three-point range (64-of-168) while converting 79.0 percent from the free throw line (158-of-200). He added 96 assists and 34 steals, highlighting his all-around impact. McComb recorded 28 double-figure scoring games, including nine 20-point performances, and earned MEAC Player of the Week honors twice. His season was highlighted by a career-high 29 points against Coppin State, while also scoring 26 against Virginia-Lynchburg, 25 against Elizabeth City State, and 24 against South Carolina State. 

Jamison, the MEAC Sixth Man of the Year and an All-MEAC Second Team selection, averaged 14.6 points per game while totaling 467 points across 32 contests. He also averaged 3.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game, finishing the season with 84 assists while logging 27.5 minutes per contest. 

Jamison scored in double figures 25 times, including four 20-point performances, and earned MEAC Player of the Week honors on Dec. 22. He posted a career-high 30 points against Jackson State at the Chris Paul HBCU Classic, while also scoring 28 points against North Carolina Central, 26 against Grambling State, and 24 against South Carolina State in the MEAC Tournament quarterfinals. 

A total of 12 schools are represented on this year's BOXTOROW All-America teams. BOXTOROW has administered the All-America teams since 2009.
