ABOUT THE SPARTANS
Norfolk State enters the weekend 4-15 overall and 2-4 in conference play following a midweek loss to Old Dominion. The Spartans earned a pair of wins over defending NEC champion Central Connecticut State last weekend, taking games 10-9 and 6-5.

Thomas Ealey leads Norfolk State with a .386 batting average and 27 hits, adding 14 runs and seven RBIs.
Justin Journette ranks second on the team with a .353 average and leads the Spartans with eight home runs.

Yasseel Samboy (1-0) leads the team with a 4.73 ERA, 13 strikeouts and two saves.
Ethan Blakeney (1-2) has a team-high 18 strikeouts, while
Parker Hampton (1-1) and
Walker Fuller (0-3) have 15 each.

ABOUT THE HORNETS
Delaware State enters the weekend 1-17 overall and 1-5 in conference play after dropping three games to Mercyhurst last weekend.

Carter Boyd leads the Hornets with a .362 batting average, totaling 17 hits, eight RBIs and five doubles. Santino Harwood holds a .322 average and leads the team with 19 hits.

Lane Mitchell (1-3) leads Delaware State with 23 strikeouts. Eddie Del Valle-Zayas (0-3) also has 23 strikeouts, while Gavin Hudson (0-1) has 11.

SERIES HISTORY
The all-time series is tied 90-90. Delaware State swept last season's three-game series in Dover, Del., winning 12-11, 11-10, and 7-6. Norfolk State looks for its first win in the series since 2022.
