PHILADELPHIA, Pa. --- The Norfolk State women's track and field team posted three top-10 finishes at the Penn Relays on Friday and Saturday.
The 4x400-meter relay team of
Autumn Burrell,
Jada Arrington,
Jahmei Wyatt, and
Payton Drumwright led the Spartans, placing fifth in the prelims with a time of 3:44.57. The group followed with a fifth-place finish in the finals, clocking 3:56.15.
The 4x100-meter relay team of
Asiah Wike,
Brooklyn Robinson,
Essence Shaw and Burrell ran 47.00 to place 27th.
Robinson added a top-10 individual finish, taking seventh in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 13.50.
Norfolk State will now have three weeks to prepare to capture the MEAC Outdoor Championship, taking place at William "Dick" Price Stadium May 14-16 in Norfolk, Va.
