NORFOLK, Va. - Norfolk State football is set to tackle 2026 MEAC Football Media with student-athletes, quarterback Reggie Johnson and safety Stephon Hall, joining Head Coach Michael Vick on Tuesday, July 21.
MEAC Football Media Day will take place at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore and will feature head coaches and two student-athletes from each of the conference's six football-playing institutions. This year's event carries added exposure for the Spartans, as The Pivot — the popular podcast hosted by former NFL standouts Ryan Clark, Channing Crowder and Fred Taylor — will broadcast live from Media Day beginning at 12 p.m. ET on ESPN+. Johnson (6'3" / 191, San Diego, Calif.) saw action in 10 games for San Diego Mesa, completing 50 percent of his passes (143-of-286) for 2,116 yards and 19 touchdowns through the air. He also carried the ball 83 times for 255 yards and five touchdowns on the ground. His top passing performance came at Mt. San Jacinto on Nov. 1, 2025, when he completed 19-of-36 passes for 333 yards and four touchdowns. He also turned in a strong outing at Mt. San Antonio on Sept. 6, 2025, going 18-of-33 for 284 yards and two touchdowns.
Hall (6'2" / 193, Pittsburgh, Pa.) appeared in three games before suffering a season-ending injury against Rutgers. He totaled 12 tackles, including three solo stops, with a season-high six tackles against Towson and four versus Virginia State.
