NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State head men's basketball coach Robert Jones will host his eighth annual Back-to-School Bash on Sunday, Aug. 16, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Echols Hall.
Jones and the Spartans will give away free book bags and school supplies to local students, continuing the program's tradition of supporting the Norfolk community.
"This is a very important event for me and a favorite of mine," Jones said. "To be in the position to give back to the community fills my heart with joy. In this economic climate, any way to ease some of the financial burden is always welcomed. Hopefully, we can help with this event. Our players and staff are all looking forward to it."
The event will also include free food, a bounce house and an opportunity to meet the 2026-27 Norfolk State men's basketball team.
