GURABO, Puerto Rico – Norfolk State concluded its international tour at the 2026 San Juan Shootout on Friday evening, falling 76-67 to the LBP Red All-Stars at Coliseo Fernando "Rube" Hernández.

The Spartans finished their three-game trip to Puerto Rico with a 1-2 record, earning an 82-81 victory over the LBP White All-Stars after opening the tour with a narrow 79-77 loss to the LBP Blue All-Stars.

Jordan Skyers paced Norfolk State in the finale with a team-high 21 points, shooting 8-of-15 from the field while adding four rebounds and five steals.

Brandon Gardner followed with 13 points and five rebounds, while Anthony McComb III reached double figures for the third consecutive game with 11 points and three rebounds.

Dramane Camara controlled the glass for the Spartans, pulling down a game-high 12 rebounds, including nine on the defensive end, while adding nine points. Elijah Jamison chipped in eight points, four rebounds and three assists.

"Tonight was a tough one," Norfolk State head coach Robert Jones said. "We played a really good Red team, the best team we played while in Puerto Rico. But our effort wasn't where it needed to be. Some of that could have been fatigue setting in, but to be a champion, you have to fight through things."

"Overall, it was a very good experience and an opportunity to get a good look at some guys," Jones continued. "We can't wait until our whole team is back healthy."

The Spartans and Red All-Stars battled through a tightly contested opening half. LBP took a 20-17 advantage after the first quarter before Norfolk State responded with an 18-15 edge in the second period, sending the teams into the halftime break tied at 35.

Neither side was able to create much separation throughout the first 20 minutes, setting the stage for a game that ultimately featured nine lead changes and 12 ties.

LBP began to gain control after halftime, outscoring Norfolk State 21-17 in the third quarter to take a 56-52 advantage into the final period.

The Spartans remained within striking distance entering the fourth, but the Red All-Stars pulled away over the final 10 minutes. LBP outscored Norfolk State 20-15 in the quarter, building its largest advantage of the night at 11 points before securing the 76-67 victory.

Norfolk State struggled to find its shooting rhythm in the tour finale, finishing 23-of-72 from the field for 31.9 percent. The Spartans shot 8-of-42 from beyond the arc for 19.0 percent and converted 13-of-20 attempts from the free-throw line.

The Red All-Stars shot 39.7 percent from the floor and connected on 7-of-26 attempts from 3-point range.

Despite the shooting struggles, Norfolk State continued to create opportunities on the defensive end. The Spartans recorded 14 steals and forced LBP into 18 turnovers while holding a 15-12 advantage in points off turnovers.

LBP held a 52-45 advantage on the glass and produced 12 second-chance points compared to six for Norfolk State.
