Biography

2006-07 (Junior Year)
Played in 20 games… was second on the team in blocks per game (1.2)…averaged 2.7 points and 4.0 rebounds per game…shot 44.4 percent from the floor…after coming off the bench in the opener at Oklahoma (11-10-06), Vickers started the next four games, the first starts of his career…grabbed a career-high nine rebounds and played a career-high 28 minutes against Longwood (11-15-06)…suffered a broken jaw in practice in early December and missed the next 10 games…returned to action against Winston-Salem State (1-18-07)…appeared in the final 15 games of the season, playing at least 10 minutes in the final 14 contests…had seven rebounds against South Carolina State (1-29-07)…scored a season-high 14 points and played 28 minutes, tying his career-highs in both categories, vs. SCSU (2-26-07)…blocked three shots at Coppin State (2-10-07) and matched his career high with four rejections in the MEAC Tournament loss to N.C. A&T (3-8-07).

2005-06 (Sophomore Year)
Played in 30 games, missing one (Morgan State, 1-16-06) due to injury…a valuable reserve post player, Vickers made all of his appearances off the bench…averaged 12.6 minutes and 2.6 points per game…was the leading rebounder among the team’s primary bench players, grabbing 3.2 per game…averaged 3.8 rebounds per game in conference play…was second on the team and 11th in the MEAC in blocked shots (19, 0.6 per game)…tied for fourth on the team with 17 steals…scored in double figures twice, both against MEAC teams…had season highs of 14 points, eight rebounds and three assists in 26 minutes off the bench at Florida A&M (1-4-06)…contributed 10 points and seven rebounds in 25 minutes against Maryland Eastern Shore (1-9-06)…swatted a season-high four shots in just 15 minutes against North Carolina A&T (1-28-06)…also had three blocked shots against Howard (1-7-06)…had seven rebounds in a game twice, vs. South Carolina State (1-30-06) and Bethune-Cookman (3-1-06).

2004-05 (Freshman Year)
Walked onto the team prior to the season…played in all 27 games as a reserve, averaging 9.0 minutes per game…averaged 1.3 points, 1.8 rebounds and 0.5 blocks per game…was fourth on the team in blocked shots…was named the team’s Most Improved Player…shot 44 percent from the field (16-of-36)…scored a season-high six points on 3-for-4 shooting against Bethune-Cookman (12-6-04)…played a season-high 26 minutes in the loss to Florida A&M (12-4-04)…had three points, four rebounds and one assist in that game…grabbed a season-high six rebounds and had a season-high three blocks vs. Savannah State (11-30-04).
