2010-11 (Junior Year)
Played in 30 games, starting seven times … one of the Spartans’ top reserves, Tamares averaged 4.6 points and 2.1 rebounds per game … scored in double figures three times … hit 13 3-pointers on the season … tallied eight points and six rebounds at Jacksonville State (11-16-10) … scored a career-high 15 points and hit a personal-best 4-of-6 from behind the 3-point arc in 27 minutes played in the loss to Iona (11-30-10) … also had five rebounds in that contest … grabbed a season-high three steals at Evansville (12-23-10) … recorded six points and five rebounds at Ohio (12-30-10) … matched his career high with 15 points at UMES (2-5-11) … was 6-of-14 from the floor and 3-of-7 from 3-point range against the Hawks … tallied 23 points and eight rebounds in NSU’s three MEAC Tournament games … scored 11 points and added five boards in the win over Howard (3-9-11) … scored nine points to go with three rebounds in the quarterfinals against Coppin State (3-10-11) … hit a 3-pointer to finish with three points against Hampton (3-11-11).
2009-10 (Sophomore Year)
Appeared in 22 games off the NSU bench after becoming eligible following the first semester … averaged 3.1 points and 2.8 rebounds per game … shot 39 percent from the floor and averaged just less than one steal per game (0.9) … had seven points and a career-high six rebounds at Kent State (1-4-10) … added seven points and four rebounds in a win one week later at Florida A&M (1-11-10) … scored a season-high 14 points on 5-of-7 shooting in the home loss to Morgan State (1-31-10) … was 2-of-3 from behind the arc in that game and matched his career high with four steals … also tallied four steals at Howard (2-15-10) and added three more against South Carolina State (2-22-10) … notched five points and five rebounds in the MEAC Tournament loss to Hampton (3-11-10).
At UMBC (Freshman Year)
Played in two games as a freshman at UMBC in 2008-09 … had six points and four rebounds against Stevenson … averaged 3.5 points and 2.5 rebounds in his two appearances … transferred to NSU following the fall 2008 semester.
