2006-07 (Junior Year)
Played in all 30 games with 18 starts…the Spartans’ go-to player in the post and one of the most consistent players on the team, Walker averaged a team-leading 12.0 points and 8.2 rebounds…also led the team in free throws made (132) and attempted (176) and leads the everyday returning players in field goal percentage (42.3), free throw percentage (75.0), field goals made (113) and attempted (267), and minutes per game (27.1)…received the Mid-Atlantic Coca-Cola Golden Basket Award, which is given to the team’s best offensive player, at the athletics department annual awards banquet…had 32 steals on the season for a 1.1 per game average…ranked in the top ten in the MEAC in six different categories…led the conference in offensive rebounds and total rebounds, was fourth in free throw percentage, fifth in defensive rebounds, seventh in field goal percentage, and 10th in scoring…scored in double figures 18 times for the season and recorded eight double-doubles in points and rebounds…had 12 consecutive games scoring in double figures with her career- and season-high of 26 points coming against North Carolina A&T (2-24-07)…had a solid all-around performance in that game grabbing 10 rebounds, shooting 71.4 percent from the field (10-of-14), connecting on six of her 11 free throws (54.5 percent), and playing a career-high 38 minutes…averaged 17.2 points per game during the 12-game streak of scoring in double figures…had 21 points and eight boards on 7-of-12 shooting from the field against Hampton (2-21-07)…had back-to-back 19-point performances at Coppin State (2-10-07) and at Morgan State (2-12-07)…was perfect from the charity stripe on six occasions, including making 7-of-7 free throws at Hampton (2-21-07)…pulled down double-digit rebounds in 10 games with a career-high 14 in the 68-55 win over South Carolina State (2-24-07)…only had one game in which she did not score and had at least one rebound in every game…hit a career-high 10 free throws on four separate occasions…contributed 14 points and eight rebounds in the Spartans’ 58-55 first-round win over UMES in the 2007 MEAC Tournament…had 18 points and 12 boards in the home win over Bethune-Cookman (2-5-07)…recorded 12 points and 12 rebounds two days earlier against Florida A&M (2-3-07).
2005-06 (Sophomore Year)
Played in all 28 games and started eight…averaged 6.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.0 steals in 22.2 minutes per game…ranked third on the team and seventh in the MEAC in free throw percentage (74.0)…leads all returning players in rebounds per game…scored in double figures in six games…recorded her first career double-double, scoring 14 points and grabbing 10 boards in the win over Morgan State (2-13-06)…hit 5-of-9 from the field and 4-of-6 from the free throw line in that game…was fifth on the team with 1.0 steals per game…had 11 rebounds and scored six points against Maryland Eastern Shore (2-6-06)…shot 34 percent from the field and 74 percent from the free-throw line for the season…hit 7-of-8 free throws and had 11 points, nine boards, and three steals in the win over South Carolina State (1-30-06)…scored 14 points on 6-of-7 shooting from the field and had six rebounds against Bethune-Cookman (3-1-06)…had eight points and hit 6-of-8 free throws against Hampton in the first round of the MEAC tournament…also had four rebounds, one block and one steal in that game.
2004-05 (Freshman Year)
Played in all 30 games and started five…averaged 4.5 points and 2.6 rebounds per game…shot 45 percent from the field, third on the team, and 53 percent from the free-throw line for the season…named to the MEAC All-Tournament team after recording 38 points and 21 rebounds in the four games…scored 12 points and added three rebounds vs. Bethune-Cookman in the opening round of the MEAC Tournament (3-8-05)…had 12 points and a career-high eight rebounds in the upset of Hampton in the tournament quarterfinals (3-9-05)…added 10 points and five rebounds in the championship game loss to Coppin State (3-11-05)…hit 8-of-11 from the field while scoring a team- and career-high 17 points off the bench vs. North Carolina A&T (2-14-05)…scored 11 points and added six boards off the bench in the win over South Carolina State (1-8-05)…notched 11 points and four rebounds in 22 minutes as a starter in the win over Morgan State (1-29-05)…made her second career start vs. Coppin State and scored 15 points, 13 in the first half, on 7-of-9 shooting from the field (1-31-05)… grabbed six rebounds and also made her only 3-pointer of the season in that game.
High School
Played four years of varsity basketball, her first three at I.C. Norcom in Portsmouth and her senior year at Ocean Lakes High School in Virginia Beach…as a senior at Ocean Lakes, Walker averaged 18.3 points, 11.6 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 3.1 steals per game and made the All-Beach District first team…also set the new school record by scoring 36 points in a game…a three-time second-team All-Eastern District player at Norcom…was team MVP her junior and senior seasons.
