2006 (Junior Year)
Played in 42 games…recorded 37 kills, 30 digs, 16 blocks (six solo), and eight aces in her first season with the Spartans…was fourth on the team and is second among 2007 returning players with a .151 hitting percentage…hit 1.000 in six matches…had season highs of 10 kills and seven blocks and hit .214 in the win over Savannah State (11-12-06)…hit .571 with four kills, two blocks, two digs and an ace against Winston-Salem State (9-24-06)…hit .417 against Delaware State (10-28-07), .333 against Bethune-Cookman (11-11-06), and .250 against Coppin State (10-13-06). 

2004-05 (Freshman/Sophomore Years)
Played on the Cobras’ volleyball team for two years. 

High School
Played three years of varsity volleyball and softball and two years of varsity basketball…named to the All-Two Rivers second team in volleyball as a junior and made the first team as a senior at Lumberton…also named to the Two Rivers All-Tournament first team as a senior.

Vanessa Faircloth…born on July 14, 1985…daughter of John and Rhonda Faircloth…majoring in math…plans to teach and coach volleyball on the collegiate level.
