2009 (Junior)
Started all 11 games at inside linebacker…an All-MEAC second-team selection…led NSU and ranked fourth in the MEAC with 81 total tackles (7.4 per game)…was fourth in the MEAC with 5.5 sacks and fifth with 12.5 tackles for loss, both of which were team highs…recorded double digits in tackles twice, with 10 against William & Mary and a career-high 14 at Florida A&M…had at least half a tackle for loss in 10 of NSU’s 11 games…had a career-high 2.5 tackles for loss, including half a sack and one QB hurry, against Howard…along with his 14 tackles, added 1.5 tackles for loss and a sack at FAMU…posted a career-best seven solo tackles vs. William & Mary…led the team with seven QB hurries…also deflected two passes for the year, one each vs. Virginia State and S.C. State… had eight tackles, one sack and three QB pressures in the season finale vs. WSSU…named the recipient of the 2009 Vince Lombardi Award, given to the football player who best represents leadership through athletic and academic achievement… named to the NSU and MEAC Commissioner’s all-academic teams.
2008 (Sophomore)
Played in 11 games…started twice (vs. N.C. A&T and William & Mary)…was eighth on the team in tackles (41) and tied for second in sacks (4.0) despite missing the South Carolina State game and being limited in others due to injury…finished the season with 6.5 tackles for lost yardage…had a career-high nine tackles, one sack, one fumble recovery and one pass breakup in his first career start, vs. N.C. A&T…also had two of his four quarterback hurries for the year during that contest…had three tackles, one for loss, and his first career interception the following week in a start at William & Mary…posted five tackles, 1.5 for loss, one sack and a forced fumble in the win over Morgan State…also forced a fumble, leading to an NSU defensive touchdown, against Delaware State…tallied eight tackles (six solo) and one tackle for loss in the finale against Winston-Salem State.
2007 (Freshman)
Appeared in nine games, seeing time on special teams coverage units and at inside linebacker…made 10 tackles, four solo, for the year…had five tackles, four assisted, at Rutgers.
High School
First-team All-Tidewater by The Virginian-Pilot and first-team All-Beach District as a senior…had 84 tackles, 15 for loss, three sacks, two forced fumbles and one interception…also wrestled for Landstown, finishing first in the region and third in the state in his weight class…wrestling record was 37-2 as a senior and 18-8 as a junior.
