2009 (Junior)
Played in every game at both receiver and as NSU’s return specialist…caught five passes for 46 yards, a 9.2 average…had two catches for 23 yards, both career highs, against Bethune-Cookman…ranked third on the team with 65.6 all-purpose yards per game…averaged 22.0 yards per kickoff return, tops in the MEAC among players with enough returns…tallied 26 kickoff returns for 572 yards and 10 punt returns for 104 yards (10.4 average)…had a season-long 57-yard kickoff return to set an NSU touchdown against WSSU…ran back a punt a season-long 27 yards vs. Bethune-Cookman…moved from receiver back to safety during spring practice.
2008 (Sophomore)
Played in all 12 games, starting two as NSU’s nickelback…finished the season with 26 total tackles, 19 of them solo…had 1.5 tackles for loss, one interception, and two forced fumbles…also ranked third in the MEAC and 11th in the nation in kickoff-return average, at 26.5 yards per return…tallied 474 all-purpose yards (424 on kickoff returns, 50 on two punt returns)…named the MEAC Rookie of the Week after making four tackles, one for a loss, and forcing a fumble in the opener against Virginia State…also posted four tackles at Bethune-Cookman and against Winston-Salem State…forced a fumble against Florida A&M…snared his first career interception against Delaware State…scored two touchdowns on returns (one kickoff, one punt) at Howard to earn MEAC Special Teams Player of the Week honors…returned a kickoff 84 yards for a touchdown and a punt 50 yards for a score against the Bison…is believed to be the first NSU player to return a kick and a punt for touchdown in the same game…also had a 64-yard kickoff return against N.C. A&T…moved to receiver during spring drills.
Prior to NSU
Signed with the University of North Carolina out of high school…enrolled instead at Fork Union Military Academy in Chatham, Va. for the 2005-06 school year… rated the No. 26 prep school player in the class of 2006 according to Rivals.com…enrolled at West Virginia in the fall of 2006 but redshirted.
High School
Played quarterback, safety, wide receiver and running back at Norland…honorable mention All-State Class 4A-6A at defensive back as a senior…high school teammates with fellow NSU players Jason Dent and Michael Alphonse…made 26 tackles, rushed for three touchdowns, passed for another and returned a punt and an interception for touchdowns as a senior…a three-year starter who helped lead Norland to the state title as a sophomore…rated the No. 64 safety in the nation in the class of 2005 according to Rivals.com…also played basketball and ran track in high school.
