Biography

    2006: The Spartans’ most leading tackler for the second straight year…started all 11 games at inside linebacker…ranked sixth in the MEAC with 84 total tackles…made 35 solo tackles and 49 assisted stops…tied for second on the team with eight tackles for losses…had three sacks and four quarterback hurries…posted double digits in tackles in three games, vs. VMI (10), Howard (season-high 17) and Winston-Salem State (12)…tallied eight tackles, three for losses, in the win over Virginia State…recorded five tackles and two sacks at Bethune-Cookman…also had a sack in the finale vs. WSSU.     
    2005: Burst onto the scene with an All-MEAC performance in his first competitive season of college football…started all 11 games at inside linebacker…led the team and the MEAC in total tackles with 120 (44 solo)…was named to the All-MEAC second-team…his average of 10.9 tackles per game ranked him 12th in Division I-AA… also led the Spartans with 10.5 tackles for losses…added two sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, one interception and one pass breakup….had a career-high 22 tackles, including three for losses and one sack, in the four-overtime loss to Bethune-Cookman…had 11 or more tackles in six games…had eight tackles, one sack and two QB hurries against Howard…was named the NSU MVP of the Battle of the Bay after finishing with 12 tackles, half for loss, and one interception vs. Hampton…had 11 tackles and a forced fumble at Delaware State and against Virginia State. 
    2004: Sat out per NCAA transfer rules after transferring from Delaware. 
    At Delaware: Attended the University of Delaware in 2003-04…redshirted during the Blue Hens’ Division I-AA national championship run in 2003. 
    High School: Lettered three years at Woodside…led team to a school-record eight wins as a senior in 2002…named first team All-Peninsula District and a first-team All-Star by the Daily Press…rated the No. 51 player in Virginia in the senior class of 2002-03…posted 96 total tackles with four sacks and two fumble recoveries as a senior…also played fullback for the Wolverines, totaling 668 yards and 11 touchdowns rushing in his final prep year…played in the VHSCA All-Star game after his senior season…also a standout in track and field, Davis was an all-district, all-region and all-state shot-putter as a junior.
